The conference venue is located right next to the Danube Canal, one of the arms of the Danube river. The historical building used to be an observatory and it is named after the  muse of astronomy, Urania, in ancient Greek mythology.

It has always been dedicated to learning and education - currently it hosts a center for adult learning, as well as a theater screening hall and conference rooms for seminars and events.
